YUDU Express Document protection system.

When you sell a document on YUDU Express it is protected from being passed around and viewed by people who haven't paid. When a buyer purchases your document, Express registers his/her details and sets access permissions which are unique to that buyer. The buyer is allowed to view your publication on 5 computers only. This prevents the login details being passed onto friends but allows flexibility for using computers at home and at work.

Buyer and Seller

The sale is between you and the buyer of your content. YUDU Express simply takes care of the administration.

Currency

We display all items for sale in one currency (Pounds sterling) so there is consistency on the site. You may not be familiar with how much this is so we have provided a tool that will show you the approximate value of each item in your own currency once you click and select your currency from the dropdown menu. We update these exchange rates daily. The buyer can pay in any currency he/she selects from the options in Paypal and the exact price the buyer actually pays will be calculated at the exchange rate PayPal uses at that time. Your account will always show in Pounds Sterling and you will not be affected by fluctuating rates. If you mark an item for sale at £5 the sales value will be £5. When setting up your items to sell, you can select the price in your own currency and YUDU Express will convert it to GBP. To do this, simply choose the currency you wish to enter from the drop down menu.

Payment of your Earnings

Sales made from the 15th of the previous month to the 14th of the current month will be paid into your PayPal account on the 28th day of the same month if your account is credited by more than £20. If the account balance is less than £20 that sum will be carried over into the following month.

Buyer protection

To give confidence to the buyer we allow 10 days for a complaint to be made. If a complaint is judged to have substance then we will "quarantine" any monies due to you on this item until the matter is resolved. The only complaints we will consider are potential fraudulent transactions or copyright infringement. All other matters must be resolved between you and the buyer and we will not entertain matters where the buyer is just disappointed with their purchase.

Referral System

To help boost your sales YUDU Express has a built-in referral system. If you do not want your content promoted by third parties please check the box when Setting the price you wish to charge. If you do allow third party referrals, 10% of the selling price is paid to the referrer when a buyer arrives at YUDU Express from his/her external site and purchases your content. Items for sale where a referral fee is available are clearly marked so refers can see them easily.

Referral users will be able to place your item into their library and embed the library on the website or blog. Your content will therefore get promoted on many different sites but all the buy/sell transactions are managed on the YUDU Express site.

Setting the price

We recommend that you look at the price that other users are selling similar items for on YUDU Express.

You can either enter the price you would like the buyer to pay OR the amount you would like to receive from the sale. YUDU Express's standard currency is GBP - but you can add the amount in your own currency by selecting the currency you want in the drop down menu. YUDU Express will then convert this back to price in GBP. The site will clearly display what you should expect to receive after the deduction of YUDU Express transaction fees.

Decide whether you want to enable referral sales and if YES ensure the box is ticked. If a sale is made from a visitor that has come through a referrer, 10% of the selling price will be deducted from the money you receiveand given as referral commission.
